S.R. Gambrel

My bags are packed and I'm ready to move into this South Hampton House designed by S.R. Gambrel. This is interior goodness all the way - the mix of bright and subtle colors, use of vintage accessories and furniture, large art pieces, and the green lamp above - how could you resist?! I have a difficult time describing my style, unless "I know I like it when I see it" counts as a style. But, this house sure does come close to becoming a style I want!

  5. When you mov in, can I be your houseguest? This has got to be one of the best designs ever - it is gorgeous while at the same time so approachable. I think the only thing that I would change is the maps-as-wallpaper in the bedroom. Too choppy. But everything else is lovely. Great find! As usual!

  6. I'm coming with you! Perfection. I loved seeing how he painted with all the molding & I'd really love to know the paint color in the dining room. Gorg!

  16. Ohh, can I come too? Green is by far my favorite color, and the green paint in those first few photos...I want to press my face against it. It's great.

  19. Ahhh...{swoon}.

And I loovveee the kitchen...shades, and everything else about it. And, if I tried to cover my BR walls with maps like that, it would look like, "crazy lady who buys too much crap at flea markets lives here" (oh wait...I am that crazy lady! ;-) But, somehow, it almost works when the fancy designer does it. Thanks for sharing the pics!
