



Between 1973 and 1979
Stephen Shore made a series of trips across North America to photograph and explore the changing culture of that time. One of the results, and recent feature on Aperture Foundation, is the book
Uncommon Places: The Complete Works. Filled with landmarks, interiors, and portraits this book is sure to delight all your design senses. How about that couch?!
These photos are SO "Please Sir" to me...it's almost uncanny. I love them!!

Also, I've seen this book at the MoMa, it is amazing, the colors are great, the photos take up the whole page, it was welcomed surprise after being disappointed by another book. It is definitely worth the buy.

ReplyDeleteoh i used to have a couch similar to that (in lime green) which i got from the salvation army after college.
ReplyDeletethose old architecture photos are awesome. i love those old school buildings. a lot of those old theaters are being restored here, and i'm glad for the because they're beauties.
i love this sort of thing. the old drive-in and living room are my favorites. they remind me of my childhood.
