Mishmash of Vintage Finds

A vacation wouldn't be complete without a browse through the local antique and thrift shops. While in Daytona for Thanksgiving I came across a hodgepodge of vintage finds. My Dad found the horsey ride at a car swap meet. Isn't it great? Such a unique piece for a collecting home. Then I found an array of vintage brooches and graphic wall art. The man and woman silhouettes are made of thin, knitted fabric. Wouldn't it be neat to do something similar with a modern silhouette? To top it off - a snippet of a rare Volkswagen at a car show. Did you see good finds this weekend?

    I haven't been flea market shopping in too long (that's how you know I've been REALLY busy). On Sunday I hope to pop into our local favorite shop and check out the wares. You always see such great treasures!

    FUN horsey ride... did you ride it? LOL
    My 10 almost 11 year old insisted on riding one of those machines the other day... he is almost 5ft tall... his older brother filmed him with his phone/camera and apparently it is on YOU TUBE... ugh! I have yet to find it.
    GREAT finds... you always find FAB things!

    no, but i wish i had found all those pins for my cards! what a great selection!

    for some reason i can not comment on your posts when i am at home. so i check your blog everyday at lunch, as my work computer allows me to. i'm not sure why that is.

    oh, well. even if i can't comment, i can read, and that i do. it's always enjoyable!

    I love that horse! You have inspired me to go to a car boot sale this very weekend. Unless it's cold. Or wet. Or I don't have money. Still, must persevere!

    Those are great finds! I haven't done much thrifting lately, but my grandmother did give me a huge box of great costume jewelry to pick through...before she gave the rest to my 9 year old niece to play with :)

    Those brooches are great! Such a great way to spice up a winter coat or knit hat. I could so see having a huge collection of those!
