Welcome Monday. Welcome December. Welcome holiday cheer and madness. I'm trying hard to welcome the new day as I drudge through the morning still recovering from Thanksgiving food coma and travel. A glimmer of hope appeared after seeing these Various Welcomes by Lizzie Ridout. Nothing like lovely and clever text to get your day started. On Lizzie Ridout's site she provides instructions on creating your own Welcome art:
1. Choose an appropriate doorway or step for your Welcome stencil.
2. Sprinkle chalk dust/cocoa/dust removed from your vacuum cleaner liberally over the surface.
3. Remove stencil carefully to avoid disturbing dust.
4. Observe as people pass over your Welcome, inadvertently destroying one artwork and creating another.
