I saw these lovely banners on Treasuring which led me to the website of Joetta Maue. I was instantly attracted to her photographs, embroideries and drawings.
I also love this quote from her statement, "I am not an extraordinary woman. I do not live under extraordinary circumstances. I am a woman who has both flaws and fears and also strengths and hopes. Through the depiction of these characteristics, I invite the viewer to relate to and connect with the work the artist, and the subject of human experience."
I think we can all relate to her work and words.
