Asheville & Vintage Finds

Over the weekend I went to Asheville, North Carolina and I already miss it. The weather was gorgeous, the food was amazing and the antiques were downright fun. We were only there for one night, so we tried to fit in as much as possible!

My taste of Asheville included Antique Tobacco Barn, a huge warehouse filled with vintage goodies. Like the table from an old German bar (priced at $300!), a wooden box previously used for storing explosives (my sister bought it to hold firewood), a white medical cabinet (perfection...if only I had $700), vintage stools, a wooden catalog and retro dinnerware. Another spot with foreign goods was Oddfellows Antique Warehouse, which included finds like the cute scale, German tin canisters and old laundry carts (great for a store display).

We also had a yummy lunch at Early Girl Eatery. I love the color on the windows and the clever use of plants. The plants get sun while providing a bit of shade and decoration. And no trip would be complete without a sweet ending like the cupcakes and cookies at The Sisters McMullen Bakery.

Now you can see why I miss it! I hope you had a fantastic weekend too - see any vintage finds?
