Inspiring Still Lifes

Still lifes are still alive and well...just in a new photographic way. The still life photographs by Burcu Avsar are intriguing because of the placement and composition of beautiful and random objects. These photographs are truly inspiring and each tell a personal story. Now I want to start my own collection of small and unusual objects. Who wouldn't love a notebook full of pretty charms?

  4. These remind me of the work of Nick Bantock... I love his books and these photos. They both give an air of mystery to inanimate objects.

  19. They're beautiful! I think this is a great idea for using all the tiny things that tend to accumulate around the apartment - things that you can't bear to get rid of but that are just lying there.
