I woke up my 4 year old the other night, around 10:30, and we stood out on the porch for about 15 minutes watching the show. It was spectacular!<br />We have boxes and boxes of old National Geographics, going decades back. My grandparents had a subcription every year-my dad practically learned how to read from sitting on my grandpa's lap while he perused the NGs! Luckily they kept them all, and now Erick and I have a practically-full archive. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-793508694841088878.post-84701824677965168112009-07-06T06:54:18.052-04:002009-07-06T06:54:18.052-04:00Hardly see any in Kuala Lumpur. We have to drive 45...Hardly see any in Kuala Lumpur. We have to drive 45mins out of the city to see them!SaD!Breakawayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17219896182985611992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-793508694841088878.post-65599297428354172302009-07-03T08:30:09.977-04:002009-07-03T08:30:09.977-04:00unfortunately i have seen a firefly in florida...e...unfortunately i have seen a firefly in florida...ever. was hoping this summer to see some on our trip back to the midwest. my kids have never seen them and they really are magical.jaehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10377887136710630792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-793508694841088878.post-2880913581630937232009-07-02T20:35:50.921-04:002009-07-02T20:35:50.921-04:00They're just coming out right about now. We get butterflies, bees, ladybugs, fireflies, and even dragonflies! (We also have lots of "good critters" like salamanders, frogs, etc. And "rare" critters like foxes, mink, coyotes, hawks, and owls!) But I know that the same is not true for everyone, unfortunately.
