This weekend I attended the Southern Ideal Home Show at the Greensboro Coliseum. The show had several interesting vendors, and here are some highlights:
One of the features at the show were rooms designed by professional and local interior designers. The designers had to work in the parameters of the room provided and make a green room, meaning they had to use eco-friendly materials. A great example is the room designed by Peg Dufresne and Cheryl Hucks. The Italian inspired room included earth friendly No-VOC paint, re-used canvas for the drawing, eco-conscious flooring, and antiques (one of the best ways to recycle!).
If you are interested in learning more about this room contact Peg Dufresne at Designs by Dufresne (336.288.9801/336.314.9801) or Cheryl Hucks at Casual Elegance by Cheryl (336.883.8796/336.580.0912). Peg is also available for painting art and murals - she did the wonderful drawing in the room.
Other interesting ideas at the show:
Another great, eco-friendly room. Don't you love the old book paper on the fireplace?!
I liked the lighting built into the cabinets in this kitchen set-up. The tile back-splash is equally interesting!
