Taillardat French Furniture

Taillardat Firm creates and manufactures high quality furniture modeled after French refined pieces. I'm not usually into this type of styling, but I admire the quality and French-Age of Enlightenment inspiration. Each piece seems to tell a story, and the unusual mix of colors and patterns is wonderful.

Hey Diana-

I just found your blog through your comment on mine...and I'm so glad to meet you! What unique and fun things you are sharing. Hand-knit apparel for trees! Honey on leaves to coerce caterpillars! To-do list blog and a tablecloth dress. I'm hooked!

The hand-carved, made to order pieces at New York's Devon Shops, established in 1929 -
now that is exceptional
French period furniture.

I love this blog, I do, I do! I also love Taillardat. On October 8, 2008, someone named Anonymous wrote the above. It is so obvious that Anonymous is really Devon Shops and the comment was written by them. I have regrettably shopped at Devon Shops
and I have fortunately shopped at Taillardat. At Taillardat, the furniture is highly refined, exceptonally well-made, true perfection and true to the period. NOT so at Devon Shops. At Taillardat, the company manufactures with beech, oak, wild cherry, mahogany from Honduras and many other hard-woods. NOT so at Devon Shops. At Taillardat, the finishes are exceptional as is the upholstery. NOT so at Devon Shops. I have purchased their furniture in France and in New York and have had only positive experiences both times. NOT so at Devon Shops. At Taillardat, the prices are what you might expect for such refined furniture, whether net or list, plus they take special pride in keeping their clients happy.
NOT so at Devon Shops. At Devon Shops the pricing is ridiculously high net pricing and list is astronomical, plus they take special pride in making their clients angry. The owner is quite rude. Also, have you been to Taillardat's website?
www.taillardat.fr - Did any one see Devon Shops website? www.devonshop.com - Take a look, big difference.
