On the Blogosphere

Sometimes there are "too good not to re-post" items I notice on other blogs. Here are interior items pushing the boundaries via the blogosphere:

Yanko Design posted these pieces from the "Shade" project created by Swedish designers Front Design Studio. He says, "Using standard silhouettes of common household items and shading them as if on paper, the designer states his intriguing designs are “like materialized illustrations.” This is what home furnishings would look like if Dr. Seuss and M.C. Escher had a child that smoked really good pot and listened to A-Ha." These are SO NEAT - thanks Yanko!

Another great find is the Love is Blind Vase by Jessica Lertvilai posted by Better Living Through Design. The stunning vase has a love letter written in braille on it's textured surface. WOW - such a wonderful and loving idea.

What have you been loving on the web?

You're right, Diana. These "material illustrations" are too good not to repost. Quite unique!

fabulous finds! what a way to push design "outside the box" with the shade project pieces...and the love letter written in braille on that vase is truly wonderful! why don't I come up with ideas like those?

Thanks! Oh yes, the header is coming...I would like to use a picture I found on Flickr so I am waiting for permission from the photographer. I hope he says yes - the picture is so neat!
