Hooked on Ebay

So, I've been a little obsessed with ebay recently...can you tell from the posts? Ebay is like virtual flea-marketing / window shopping. Most of the time I don't bid on anything, but merely browse and see what people pay for certain items. Here are items rocking my mind, but not in my price range. Hopefully they can be future yard sale finds...for now...I watch.

There is so much right with these...Vintage Metal Gas Price Signs.

These Vintage Dick Jane School Flash Cards have been making rounds on the blogosphere. I've seen them framed to form sentences, but I think it would be neat to pair them with matted, framed photographs. Like underneath a picture of your uncle it can read "dance Dick". Hopefully you have an uncle named Dick.

You have a great eye for this stuff. Seriously. Your taste is great and so similar to my own. But I must ask you to stop. I'm going to go broke! Cease and desist! :P

you know what, as much as i've been always ogling at stuff on ebay for the longest time, i still haven't bought anything from it because someone ALWAYS manages to get things the last minute. there's so many things i would've wanted to get...shoes and lighting fixtures especially.

one day...

There's a program, I don't know what it's called, but you can set it to bid on things the very last minute - whatever amount you tell it to in advance. I had the same problem until I learned about that- to me that's like cheating :) I'm with ya on the yard sale thing!

Mary - you are too funny - I'll try to keep the finds to a minimum.

I didn't know there was a secret program! I feel like that is cheating too. I love looking on ebay, but it is always great to find the same thing and cheaper at a yard sale. Ebay helps to give you an idea of how much an item is worth - which is something I like to know.

ebay is great! You can find so many vintage things. And you can buy it all over the word. It´s more than a big fleamarket ........... it´s like Vintage-heaven :0)

Just the other day I got outbid on a pair of sunglasses. I was more irritated by the seller's description that the item was "vintage 80's" when in fact it was only a few years old (I know because I wanted to get a new pair of these rockin' shades and they don't make em anymore). Ebay addictive? Yes. Ebay frustrating? Definitely!
You have managed to find a lot of gems here! Good eye.

I would love to hunt on ebay, but I haven't the faintest idea of where to start. You will have to give me some tips because the items you posted are fab.
