Loving this photographic series by Brian Finke called Flight Attendants. The series chronicles two years Finke spent shooting at 36,000 feet on more than 50 flights and 16 international airlines. Finke respectfully shadows his subjects as they perform their jobs and as they go about their regular lives. Fascinating study.

i thought they were models!
i like reading about flight attendant histories for some reason. it was so much more different back then. but these flight attendants in these photos look quite glam!
I know right?! I never dreamed of being a flight attendant - small space up in the air all the time - naaa I need more ground. But, does seem kind of glamorous. I'd probably be in the airport bar trying to deal with jet lag!
EEE--- I JUST READ ABOUT THIS! :) Love it.
I love the two in red suits at the pool table!! This is great.
I love the two at the pool table as well... very interesting artist!

my father always wanted me to be a flight attendant, but he was afraid to fly (hmmm, what's up with that?).
i love these photos, they were so glamorous back then.
There definitely is an aura about flight attendants, especially years and years ago. Very cool & interesting!
this post and the one below look so perfect together....that said, I love these photos so much.
These are so retro, very nice :)
I've just tagged you - visit my blog to see the rules :)
Have fun!
This is so fun! I can't believe he did that much flying in one year though!
I could never ever be a flight attendant! Too scared of flying myself :(
Wonderful. I particularly like the first image.
What cool photos! So glamorous!
Wow, cool photographs. I like! Your blog is really great, I'll be back!
One word...FABULOUS!
those photos are great. they remind me of the flight attendant uniform zooey deschanel wore in almost famous.
This caught my eye, too...there's something so chic and glamorous about the flight attendants from years ago, right?
