Abandoned Memories

These photographs of an abandoned amusement park are hauntingly beautiful. I'm completely mesmerized by them. I can even hear the distant laughter and roller-coaster screams. There is something nostalgic, yet sad about these images. The photos are also somehow comforting. This park was once a bustling joy of fun, yet it still remains even more beautiful and serene than before.

So lovely, plus you know how I love to post about abandoned spaces.

Very nice! I love the carousel with the puddle of water, and the brush growth behind it. Nature always finds a way to make it through.

oh i feel just the same way. there's something simultaneously beautiful and sad about seeing a place frozen in time and abandoned - you can almost picture the activity that used to happen there, like you said... but you know that it never will happen again; its time has passed.

Even though it is sad in ways, I still adore shots like these.

Amazing photos! Very compelling.

I remember as a girl going roller skating at a rink right by an old abandoned amusement park. The visual of that ancient wood roller coaster, jutting up out of the trees and silhouetted against the evening sky, was so fascinating to me!

Your words are right on with these images. It's like a ghost town; but the colors and the shapes are lovely. What a juxtaposition!

i have to say that my camera and i seem to flock to such places.....but the images here are so stunning and haunting........i can't stop staring at them. I have a love for abandoned spaces, last year we drove though an abandonned town, curtains still blew in the wind
and pools still had half inflated beach balls..........a feeling that is hard to describe.

theses photo's are just amzing.
