Old Photographs

Old photographs are a great way to add history and warmth to your space. I was lucky to win two old, car photos from Jennifer's giveaway over at scissors.paper.glue. The vintage clip stand from blue bell bazaar holds the photos, and the vintage doily stretcher serves as a pin board for inspiring photos. Other photos on the pin board are of my grandparents and from my Diana camera. I attached paper clips and binder clips to the photos and then hung them with small pins to ensure the quality of the photos - no holes here! Plus the photos of my grandparents are re-prints, the originals are tucked away for safety. Next to the pin board is a vintage storage container for clips and rubber bands - also seen in this post.

Overall, a great medley of photos which can be updated and easily moved around. Thanks again to Jennifer for the great photos and cute postcard...also check out her etsy store!

oh neat!!! every time i go to flea markets i'm always tempted to purchase old random photographs. there's a warmth to them that many new photos don't have, i think.

I love, love old photos and the doily stretcher is a great display! I've unearthed some old family photo tintypes -- they are so fab, and I need to figure out a way to display them.

Do you think there will be a day when people treasure the photographs we are currently taking and consider them nostalgic. These look great!
