Summer Searching

I thought about next year, but couldn't get past the summer

This is the title from a ink on paper piece by Joy Drury Cox, which was featured on swissmiss. These words resonate with me today...the statement seems romantic and thought provoking. I want to live by it and soak up the rest of summer...if only I could wear these pretty outfits from church & state while doing it.

In other news, BIG thanks to Jessie from Zest & Thyme and Hila from Your Cover's Blown for acknowledging Please Sir on their blogs. You gals are great, and I truly appreciate your support!

Also, have you seen the new layout over at decor8? I am very impressed, and excited to discover must-visit shops around the world and the inspiring interiors from decor8's flickr. Oh, if only we could all blog for a living!

Oh, to be thin and rich...the clothing I'd have! I love the gray jacket, although the floral sundress is so romantic.

These looks are incredible! That first ruffly dress has such a unique silhouette, and the button-back jacket is so amazing!

I find the photo with the dark navy dress on the bed a little unnerving. It looks like an old Victorian photograph with a twist. Like it's haunted or something. I think I am easily spooked. :)

I'm so glad to have discovered your blog, so many gorgeous things to see, I especially loved the post on fairground abandoned places, so moody and evocative.
PS Thanks so much for your help on posting bigger blogger pics!

Very nice blog, great content. Is that you in the pics? You look like you're from that era. Looks like we may share a similar direction in some things. I'm in the midst of buying furniture, you've got me thinking.

I'm really loving that quote. It's exactly how I'm feeling right now, like I'm being dragged toward Fall against my will when all I want to do is live in Summer forever. -Julia

I love that 3rd picture, the dark blue dress..just heavenly to me. To answer your question, I work in the Logistics industry but that's only partly why I travel. Mainly, it's just a never-ending passion..I'd do more if I have more time and $$ too. Now, how do you find the time to find all these wonderful stuff to share with us? Hugs :)
