To celebrate the first day of fall I slept with my windows open last night. Waking up to an outdoor breeze, chirping birds and the quiet fall of leaves was refreshing. My sheets were also cool and cozy - my favorite part about a fall morning. Ahhhh...I could snuggle up in cool sheets and a down comforter all day.
These amazing interior photographs by Aimee Herring remind me of crisp fall days. Hmm...if only I could sleep in just a little bit longer...

I gasped when I saw these - so lovely. Sounds like a wonderful way to welcome the season.
Oh gorgeous inspiration. I'm loving the cooler mornings too. Happy Autumn!
I adore the light through those little bottles. I bought a tray of small bottles just like that from a car boot sale (flea market) about two years ago with good intentions to find a place to display them where light could filter through them and I could add seasonal sprays of bits and pieces. I have some out with native flower heads in them and some with violets, but they look so good as a mass.
love the apothacary vase and fern image! lovely
I especially like the image of the leaves in the glass jars and bottles. I've always thought that was a neat way to display flowers or foliage.
It's still hot here. I guess cool nights are coming quickly enough!
Love the interiors....Hate that fall hasn't arrived here yet....
sigh... wonderful. I like the photo with the jars..so pretty. Each time I see interiors I just look around my house and think I need to remember to play the lottery!
Absolutely beautiful and inspiring...now I wish my home is like that :D

What great interior images. I love the colors and the light. We have been sleeping with the windows open for the past days as well. It is just wonderful and waking up to bird twittering and the rustling wind is so nice. Thanks for your visits to inleaf these past weeks!
Very timely.. you did this for us didn't you... those of us living in South!
I love bringing nature inside. These are fabulous.
I've been sleeping with windows open all summer... Last night I had to get out of bed and CLOSE them; getting a bit chill towards dawn!
Beautiful! I love all the glass bottles. I love Fall too, especially here in New England. The leaves are changing, and the air is crisp.
this is so beautiful... I can't stop looking at them! I would love to have a house like this. But alas, I must continue apartment-living for a few more months until I graduate college.
love that luscious green in the top set!
I love sleeping with the window open in Fall weather - it really is the best sleeping weather! These are great photos - so pretty.
