Can you imagine waking up to a real life Super Mario world?! Antoinette J. Citizen did just that with an art installation titled Landscape. The piece includes the landscape from Super Mario Bros. complete with interactive boxes that play Mario sound effects. Wow, that takes gaming and living to a whole new level!

LOVE this! i can hear the mario tune in my head now...
Brings back memories! :)
Does it come with the music too? That would be so fun. Cute concept.

Oh my little boys would love it. I can see my two having heaps of fun in that room. I'm a tough Mum.. I allow them 1 hour each a week on the Nintendo.. and only on the weekends!

so much fun!!! before Nintendo gets wind of it, and starts selling it?
How fun is this?!
This is fascinating! At first it's just kind of hilarious, but I bet it was tricky figuring out how to construct this (what should be 3D and interactive).
Definitely fun.
This is so cool. It would make the perfect kids room. Is super mario even still around?
I could hear the mario brother theme song as soon as I focused on the pictures. how clever!
fun!
I always wanted to live in Smurf world.
Everything would be just smurfy, we'd eat smurf berries and live in mushrooms.
That was a good dream, can't believe I gave up on it.
I remember my 12th birthday very clearly. My father had recently bought a HUGE screen TV. It was taller than I was. I got a new nintendo and a super running pad thing. I stayed up all right racing larger than life video game characters. This room is a perfect reminder of those moments.
Fun!
this makes me laugh...
How fun!
I thought it looked like the super mario bros...reminded me of the time when my brother and me used to fight over playing this game :D
NO WAY!!!
Holy Schmoly Batman! Thank you for finding and sharing this!

Thought you'd be sharing your fair photos. Maybe next post!
Thanks for this link Diana. My retail design students have been working on designing spaces using a given concept. One of the concepts I gave out was "arcade game." I'll have to share this with them...they'll be sure to get a kick out of it.
Can you imagine waking up to a real life Super Mario world?! No, I honestly can not! But I commend their creative efforts!!! What a unique space!
