Liberty Part 3: In the Kitchen

There was a ton of kitchen accessories and dishes at Liberty, but my eye caught a hanging vintage scale and several glass cake stands. Looking at these pictures makes me want that vintage scale - I should have snatched it up! Oh well...maybe next time?

One vendor re-used old kitchen items, like a tea kettle and pot, to display a collection of succulents. This idea could easily fit into a kitchen display or outdoor garden. I love when old items get new life and function in a home.

Let's take a little break and return this afternoon for Part 4 & 5 of Liberty's vintage series, including decorating ideas and my favorite items at the show. See you then!

my front porch is covered in old pots and pans like the ones above all filled with succulents. It's the cheapest way to pot a plant, I get them all from the thrift stores, just drill a hole in the bottom and go.

Love the tea kettle and the succulents even more. Perhaps they'll make their way into my garden.

Ok...I'm a wee bit envious of your "Liberty" adventure to say the least--what fabulous finds. I absolutely love all of the creative ideas for succulents. I may just have to borrow some of those. ;)

that blue/purple cake stand should be mine. it's so pretty and would be my reason to have cake always on hand.

and the scale would be a nice lil touch for my kitchen.

The succulents look right at home in the kitchenware. I think those planted in the pitcher is my favorite.
