The Mountains

Last weekend my friends and I went to the beautiful and refreshing North Carolina mountains. We try to make it to our friend's cabin every year because it is so fun - friends, hiking, eating BBQ, drinking, and making memories. The top image is the view from the porch of the cabin we stay in...an amazing site to wake up to every morning. Stunning right? I'm already missing the mountains...it is truly a magical place to visit.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Mmmm...North Carolina barbeque. The only thing that makes that sound even better is the thought of working up your hunger with such beautiful hikes as these! Thanks for sharing what looks like an amazing weekend :)

Great pictures. I love the colourful landscape shots. Real fall colours which I don't get to see here ever!

What a great view! How lucky you are to get a little escape to such a lovely place. Sadly, our "leaf season" is at the very tail end, with just a few stragglers holding on. No more color 'til April. Sniff!

These are beautiful pictures.

What always strikes me about the mountains is that you can actually smell the trees- a treat usually reserved for Christmastime when you bring a tree inside. It's impossible to be down when your lungs of full of that wonderful fresh green scent.
