Sculpting Fashion

I'm glad I checked out the front page of Etsy today because I stumbled upon Emily Ryan's shop. Emily Ryan is an independent designer located in Portland, Oregon. Her clothing pieces have an amazing architectural feel that she describes as "modern sculptural designs" which "explore texture and shape." They are fresh and unique while still being comfy and stylish. This is one shop I'll be checking back with...the Fall/Winter collection will be up in the next couple of weeks!

Really? Cuz I'm not feeling it. In fact, I definitely do not want that big old flower looking thing in dress two on my big ole belly. Not good. Not good at all.

That is a nice find. I love folds and she is a master. I'll check back for her winter stuff. Thanks for sharing! Oh, and thank you for telling us about Billet and all the interesting objects featured there. Just have to brush up on my Japanese...

Speaking of Project Runway, you know this year's winner, Leanne, is also from Portland and an Etsy seller? I love that! I enjoy looking at these, but unfortunately could never pull them off! :(

Hope you are good. Still trying to work my way out from the miasma over here . . . XO

If I had the bod to pull these off, I'd be all over them. In fact, kinda reminds me of Leanne a bit.

I love the look of these pieces- great textures. I have yet to buy clothing off of Etsy (beyond little accessories). I guess I'm slightly nervous that the pretty piece online won't fit me. Her work is quite pretty, though...
