Wish You Were Here

I'm feeling so busy these days that I'm on the brink of giddy madness. I'm sure you know the feeling. Where you are tired, cracked out from caffeine, and you just laugh because really that's all you can do at this point. Luckily these motel postcards from the past make me laugh even more. Cheesy and great...love it. For your next vacation don't you want to stay at the Space Age Motel?

love these images. sorry to hear your frazzle dazzled. my solution: organize by way of lists. there is great satisfaction in being able to check something off the list. you can even do a cheater list of things like: brush teeth, check. turn on computer, check.

oh, they don't make motels like this anymore. thank goodness for the plastichrome postcards that endure. the ones with the scalloped edges are even better!

Ugh. I kinda remember staying in these! These motorcourts always had a pool in the middle of the parking lot.

Some of the motels in my hometown still look like this. Nowadays, it is less charming and more scary!

I love the technicolor brightness of the yellows, reds & greens. So different from images now.

I love retro motel postcards. The colors! The "candid" shots! (You know the people in them were posing for the better part of the day). And isn't the "architecture" crazy good?!
