Dress-Up

Being a kid was fun and easy. But when you are a kid you don't realize that and instead you wish for grown-up things. Now that I'm an adult I WISH I didn't have grown-up responsibilities. Paying bills, going to work, taking out the trash...blah blah blah. Playing dress-up sounds way more fun. Hmm...guess I would have to work at Disney or people would think I was crazy. I'll just live vicariously through kids who get to wear these amazing costumes by wovenplay. Kids enter a world of imagination by becoming a knight, cowgirl, pirate, butterfly, and many more cute ideas. What would you dress up as?

Oh for me it's a butterfly every time! Or a rainbow warrior... with wings. Always wings. And I clearly am crazy 'cause I throw or encourage fancy dress parties whenever possible and love to dress up. Now if I could just hand the bills, work, trash over to someone else to take care of... :)

I hear you sister. Being a grown-up is not so fun, and I often wish I could trade in my adult card for a ticket back to kiddiehood. As a kid I had the most amazing cowboy and indian costumes, and loved playing dress-up in them. As an adult I think I would like an invisibility cloak, then I could wear it and walk around like a complete goof-ball if I wanted to and no one would notice.

I used to LOVE to play dress up! My grandmother had great old 40s and 50s dresses she let me use for dress up... along with FUN costume jewelry... I wish I had those dresses TODAY... I would be wearing them... they were FAB! I remember them like it was yesterday... thanks for bringing up GREAT memories!

Anything with a long flowing skirt or cape works for me. But I do like the little knight's outfit above. How sweet.

I always liked pretending I was having adventures in my regular clothes, like the kids in the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Ironic, I know.

I love that cape, though!

Eeek! How precious. It's rare to find a non-Disneyfied children's costume. These are so inventive and give a kid lots of room for imagination. Great find!

with girls ages 2 and 6, dress-up is a daily scene at our house! not quite as fancy as these beauties, but it's still fun.

Playing dress up does sound way more fun. Those costumes are all adorable, and I would take the tutu in heartbeat (although that knight costume is pretty adorable too!)

Being here is always an adventure. My girls like to put together make-shift outfits for dress-up and dramatic play. I'll have to show them these gorgeous costumes. They'll go bonkers.

And I hadn't known about Do Not Leave Unattended. Oh, the riches! I feel a post coming on....

so much fun! honestly i never wanted to grow up as a child- always thought they had the better deal... the only thing i wanted to do is travel and go on adventures- hence i had to grow up. dress up, anything with a sword and a magic wand, i wanted to be something like a warrior witch.
think ill still go for that- sooooo many possibillities ;)
love the cute stuff, would def get some if i were a kid or had one

I love these costumes! I'm a big dress-up girl----Halloween has always been my number one favourite holiday.

I'd dress as a ballerina in a tutu every day if I could!

i attribute my recent constant eating of peanut butter off a spoon to a subconscious attempt to return to the care-free days of my childhood.
