Happy New Year

My friend, Allison, and I have declared 2009 as the "year to get our sh*t together." In more ways than one - professionally, physically and mentally. Normally I'm not the make-a-resolution-and-stick-to-it kind of person because I wind up forgetting about it in February. But, as I sip my champagne at midnight and nurse my hangover the next day I'm going to hope for a different type of year. One where I honestly sit down, plan, and try to get my sh*t together. Hey, it's a new year which means a new start...so anything is possible.

Welcome 2009...you are here to stay...for at least a year...so let's kick some design butt and get ready for the inspiration train. Here's to a Happy New Year!

Image via Snorkiesnork! which I thought seemed appropriate...like each little paper crane is a goal waiting to be set free in the new year.

I will join you in that resolution, Diana! Is there room for a third? I won't take up much space, because one of my resolutions is to whittle my ass down to, oh, about a third of what it currently is! Happy new year, my friend;) Thank you for so many laughs and inspirations in 2008.

Hear hear, I want to get my act together in 2009 too! What I did last year, which I'm doing again this year, is just make a list of 20 or so random things I want to do (like take a cooking class, start a blog, go to the gym 3-4 times a week, study Spanish). I ended up ticking off about 3/4 of the list. I find that it's easier than making a really broad New Year's resolution like "get fit". Good luck! xx
