Life

Escape into the photographs by Monika Holzner. Walk on frozen ponds and bask in natural, warm light. When browsing her website I feel like taking my time to absorb each photograph's detail and angle. Each image telling another aspect of a person's life. How do they live? Where do they go? What do they love?

What would you photograph to illustrate your life?

These photos are amazing. I could easily get lost in each one.

I don't know what I'd photograph to illustrate my life...that's a tough one. Maybe my camera? Because the biggest chunk of my life is the pleasure I get from observing beauty.

Such serene images. Gosh, I think I'd have to photograph my husband and myself, back to back at our computers, one cat per person to illustrate my life.

These are beautiful! I think at the moment photographs to reflect my life would need to capture the many brief journeys I undertake... Not always exciting but integral to what I do, who I am, and am ever becoming - a restlessness. I seem to be moving a lot. Or perhaps just a picture of my suitcase?

That image of the ice pond is stunning... it looks like she's walking on the night sky.

Good question. I love taking photographs, but I would have to find out what my life is about... Maybe my photo narrative on the right column of my blog might reveal a more internal part of my life.

What beautiful, serene images. I love the colors and the lighting. I would take a picture of my little kitchen table - it's my favorite part of my apartment!

Hmmmmm... what would my photo be... that is a difficult question... a crazy woman or a serene photo of Paris... the two sides of moi! Real life crazy... and longing for peace in Paris!

Lovely photos. I especially like the shoes all lined up on the shelves. As for my life? It would be photos of fabric piles, dark chocolate, growing family and dancing in the kitchen with my husband.

Beautiful photos!
Right now if I were to take any photos of my life it would look a chicken with its head cut off lived here! In one room I have my little project of clueing and wrapping, another writing Christmas cards (just finished this task) and the kitchen baking... Give me a week and everything will be back in place.
