Lunch Break

Down the road from my work is a little junk shop. The worn shop always has vintage items in the window and scattered on the front step. You never know what you'll see when you drive by. During my lunch break I couldn't resist a photo of their vintage bike and old dining room sign. I also love how the bike's kick stand is strategically held up with string. What vintage items are you hoping to see under the Christmas tree this year?

On a side note, I know many of you are heading out of a town so here's an early HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I'm truly appreciative of your support, readership and most of all our friendship. Thank you for this year and giving me the opportunity to share and discuss the inspiring bits of life with you.

If you are sticking around check back later for the Old Holiday Picture Post, a collection of old holiday photos submitted by fellow readers and bloggers. I'm still accepting photos, so be sure to send your photo along!

Stay warm, safe and merry!

Oh I think I would love to wonder around a junk shop! I don't think I'll be getting anything vintage but if I was I'd be hoping for an old wall clock for my kitchen!
Have a very Merry Christmas!

your photos are wonderful - they almost look like paintings. i'm looking forward to seeing the holiday pics everyone has sent you :).

as far as vintage goes, i already got it, a yashica tl-electro x 35mm camera. i don't really know what the heck i'm doing, so my new year's resolution is to learn, as usual.

What a gorgeous little shop. If I could anything vintage this Christmas, it would be some beautiful old teaspoons. I never have enough teaspoons (my boys use them for every bowl of yoghurt, cereal etc!)and I love the thought of them having been held so many times and been in many a cup of coffee or tea over their lifetime. Have a lovely Christmas. I so enjoy your wonderful blog every day! A-M xx

Have a holly jolly! If you want to open something early, wait 6 hours and 56 minutes and tell everyone it's Christmas in New Zealand.

I'm hoping for a pair of amber colored earrings I fell in love with at one of our local vintage shops. We'll see.

Merry Christmas.

I love vintage/antique/junk shops - love the photo of the bike that you took.

I recently just bought a great lamp that has a forest image on the outside with a thing that rotates on the inside to make it appear as if the forest's on fire! Very cool! I think it's 70's style? I couldn't decide on whether to get it or not - glad I did.

Merry Christmas, and thanks for this great blog!

Happy holidays to you too! I just found a lovely white vintage side table for my side of the bed that I hope my man gets for me soon. But today I got a lovely dress instead. Happy holidays!

you must live in the cutest little town! i love little places that look lost in time. there is an antique store around the corner from us that has the same feel. i bet it looked exactly the same in the 50s.

I just bought some old doctor's cabinets. One's tall and the other's short. The tall one has the most incredible glass doors on it.
