Flight
Frank Gonzales, an American contemporary artist, creates amazing paintings that explore classical subjects, organic forms and geometrical shapes. I'm especially drawn to his bird paintings with vibrant colors and a sense of movement and flight.
Gonzales says, "I like to construct and deconstruct during the process leaving traces of my journey in the end results. Like life itself, there are elements of uncertainty, dialogue and changes that take place which can be both fascinating and frustrating to me."
As artists and designers we can probably all relate to his statement within our own work. Truly inspiring!

gorgeous. to have on of these in your home would be spring every day! i'll have to check him out. i'm drawn to that first one with the robin's egg blue background. i love that color, so clean and crisp.
ReplyDeleteThat was my fav too - yes, it would be like spring each day!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely gorgeous. wow. i think my fave is the second one--i love the calligraphic flourishes (surprise!).
ReplyDeleteFantastic. The first is my favorite - that blue background makes the bird seem super friendly somehow.
