Simple Happiness

Colorful ceramics lined in a row...simple and beautiful. Marie Torbensdatter Hermann's ceramics remind me of a calender or life cycle. Each day is different, like each vessel is unique with varying heights and pops of bright yellow. Maybe the happy or memorable days are filled with yellow?

These cheer me up as I am sick AGAIN...I can't believe it. I think it's our kooky weather with snow last week and high 70's this week. Crazy! Although I can't complain because through all the sneezing and nose blowing I still love the warm weather.

This week, here's to filling our personal vessels with happiness and sunshine yellow....

OH no, not sick again!

Feel better soon--and in the meantime take all the pleasure you can from these gorgeous ceramics. I love their wobbly shapes!

They remind me of that light sculpture that spells something. Do you know which one I mean?

Sorry you aren't feeling well. Just returned from the doctor with my daughter....she has strep again. My kids are rarely ever sick and this season it has been one thing after another. The doctor said it is the worst season he has seen in a very long time.....if that makes you feel any better.

My boyfriend is down with a nasty cold and I'm crossing my fingers (in futility, I think) that I don't get it too. Feel better soon.

Yellow is my very favorite color - these are lovely. I like your thoughts on it looking like a calendar. Perhaps the bigger vessels in the back are ongoing projects, placed on the back burner, but looming in one's mind as Things That Must Be Taken Care Of.

Hope you feel better soon!

Love those ceramics - especially because they are yellow! (my colour of 2009, 2008 was orange I think.)
