Inspiring Still Lifes
Still lifes are still alive and well...just in a new photographic way. The still life photographs by Burcu Avsar are intriguing because of the placement and composition of beautiful and random objects. These photographs are truly inspiring and each tell a personal story. Now I want to start my own collection of small and unusual objects. Who wouldn't love a notebook full of pretty charms?

I love the top image and the flower tray too!
I love things like this. Very nice.
these are really cool and inspiring! except that disconnected hand. that's kind of creepy.
These remind me of the work of Nick Bantock... I love his books and these photos. They both give an air of mystery to inanimate objects.
Gorgeous. I could peer at these for hours just absorbing object details.
The page of charms is utterly charming!
I would love the notebook of charms! How simple and cool!
This is a lovely post. I LOVE the roses in the motor oil cans. But, um, is that an eyeball in the last photo? Really? An eyeball?
How beautiful. I love how these are arranged.
how very lovely.
the flower vase tins are my favourite, a simple object made beautiful
: )
I would love a notebook full of pretty charms. And I am now going to save every tin that comes my way so I too can have a beautiful still life!

These are still lifes I can relate to - gorgeous! And I'm sure I have enough bits around to try my hand at this... I'm feeling inspired - thank you! :)
WOW! Now these are pretty beautiful. Wishing I could open my desk drawer right now and have it look like one of these photos. Love.
These are amazing. I would love to have one of these.
Thanks for sharing this. It's inspiring me to try a few collections of my own!
Oh, these are just wonderful! Hope you had a great weekend.
Oh, I'm totally going to have to work on something like that. I dig.
They're beautiful! I think this is a great idea for using all the tiny things that tend to accumulate around the apartment - things that you can't bear to get rid of but that are just lying there.
these are GORGEOUS! great find! xo
i love the roses in rustic containers, such a bold but elegant statement...
