Yes, yes, yes! Architecture, interior design and art happily co-exist in Douglas Coupland's house featured on Dear Ada. Can you spot all the great design elements? The colorful spools of thread, Mousetrap sculpture, game board pyramid, white Lego blocks and wall o' dice? I'm overwhelmed with interior delight. The spools of thread remind me of design school days and I can't wait to do something similar in future awesome studio.

i love the dart boards. and how he states that he "collect[s] shapes."
oh such glorious colors!
I love the spools of thread and the bulls eyes. Great ways to add color and whimsy.
The car fits perfect with the house too.
Ok, I'm in love with this aesthetic. This is so wonderful! My hubby and I are potters, and our work is colorful. In our gallery, we put our stuff on cream colored shelves or chocolate colored shelves and they just *pop*. Now if only I had time to paint our kitchen and dining room...
Ach! Such adoration for this immaculately designed space.
yes!! i love it! those spools of thread are so gorgeous like that...
I LOVE this house! It's modern but full of color and warmth. I love that whole wall of targets... Sigh.
Ah, Douglas Coupland. Our post-modern, home-bred hero ;)

I love the fact that the interiors are mostly neutral and all the colour comes from the accessories!
Those are so neat! I love the top photo, the one with the dart boards & those tiles.
