Design with your Heart

Hello, hello! I apologize for the recent sporadic posting here on Please Sir. This summer turned out to be busier than I anticipated and unfortunately real job responsibilities must come first. As much as I need a paycheck, I also continue to think about the quote above created by the talented (and super sweet) Suzanne Cabrera from an open [sketch]book. There must be truth in it, and I think Suzanne and I are determined to find it. I want to get my design groove back and start to create from within. As many of you know, it's so easy to get caught up in ruts and lose your creative focus. My hope is to find peace, truth and happiness along the way.

I know it's been crazy, but I hope you hang in there with me! In the meantime take in the wise words above and feel free to share your personal creative dilemmas and strives below. We could all use a little motivation!

Hi there, welcome back and don't worry, I know the feeling... Money talks right!! I LOVE this quote and really would love it to happen to me! One day I'd love to give up my day job and sit and make my Flotsam Friends all day long... Hey, and enjoy your Summer while you have it! Pruxxx

Thanks for this awesome quote! I'm not an offical designer by trade, but this still speaks to the creative side of me. Love it!

"design with your heart..."
such good advice. I've been stuck lately and that spoke to me.
Welcome back. No worries about absences when blogging. It is best to blog with your heart as well. No pressure. We readers will wait patiently for you.

TELL me about it! At this point I've resigned myself that blogging for me may not happen again. :-( But lovely to enjoy yours!

This quote has to become a mantra for me! It is all too easy to do the must have stuff, and neglect the love to stuff!

I am there with you. My real job drains me but I have been pushing myself to follow my heart. I can't quit my job....yet! But at least I have finally started to take steps forward and begin to dream that maybe, just maybe anything is possible.
