I'm a sucker for good fonts. My graphic knowledge is amateur at best, but I know fonts can make or break a work. I can browse through MyFonts and DaFont all day trying to find the best fonts for a project. With graphics on the mind I stumbled upon the work of Tauba Auerbach via ffffound!
I love all the elements of these works - the fonts, colors, text, words, spacing - everything.
I would love to sit down and try to create my own font. Know of any great font sites?
Check out Tauba Auerbach.

I'm with you, Diana. I can spend hours looking for the perfect font but sometimes it's hard to make the final decision.
me too, me too! there's something about different styles of lettering that just does it for me. and, a font choice can totally make or break a project!
I used to not even think about the font style I used, that is until my husband spread his obsession with me! I'm hooked on DaFont. Thanks for the new links.
I always notice good fonts too! I'm married to a graphic designer/illustrator so when ever we pass by a sign or logo he has a comment to make about their font! Npw i find myself doing it too! Especially when it's Papyrus! We hate that font & cringe every time we see it! :p
OH I KNOW - I cringe at the sight of curlz font!
i love pretty typography!
speaking of fonts...have you seen this font quiz? http://fontgame.ilovetypography.com/
it's tough!
Oh, oh, I've got a good one!

You can actually create your own fonts there, like you mentioned. It's totally addictive for font-o-philes though so you might hate me for doling out that link :)
oh, girl...I'm so with you. my husband teases me that I'm a "font nerd". I say, "font nerds unite!" I could tell from your great banner, day one, that you love fonts :-)
Ah, the power of the font- sometimes I think it can be more powerful than the words.
The font struct site looks really cool - great link!
Have you checked out 1001 fonts? I downloaded some amazing fonts from this website!
I bought a bunch from Chank which were lots of fun - - varying in readability for logo use, of course.
I especially liked their Buckethead.
