This Vintage Find Sunday is a mix of exploration, textiles, and discovery. The center piece is a folding chair set originally used as extra seating in a church. These chairs are great for both looks and functionality. Accenting the chair piece are hand-woven pillows I purchased in South America. While visiting Peru I went a little crazy and bought a ton of textiles - rugs, hats, bags, and more. The Peruvian textiles are very dear to my heart, and I hope to include them in future Vintage Find Sundays. The pottery bowl and bull are also from South America. In Peru these bulls are placed on top of houses for protection from evil. I have mine in the window and feel comforted by the safe vibes. And if you are going to explore you also need a vintage suitcase, stylish sunglasses, and a language guide. Here's to finding your way!

This reminds me of hubby's pride and joy from Peru... a friend of ours brought him what he calls a "cool ski hat" from Peru... he loves it... says he always wanted one... well, actually he got 2... they are very pretty... but I have to say, he's so not a hat person.
Fun to find treasures!
this is my favorite post of the day!
Very nice.
Those chairs and pillows are making me drool!
Great finds! Those sunglasses rock!
Such a pretty combination of things!!!! Love it!
Happy Monday!
the folding chairs and pillows are wonderful together. i love it all!
Yes I know the hats you are talking about - I have a few myself! Glad you like!
Excellent pics, deary :) I love all of the Peruvian pieces you picked up! Such great taste!
those chairs and pillows are fantastic! even the way they are framed by the window behind it looks great! nice finds :o)
wow, LOVE those chairs up top!
If I had a wish, it would be to go shopping with you. Love it Pleasie.
LOVE those chairs! :)
those pillows are jonathan adler-ish (or are adler's pillows peru-ish?).
and thats a gorgeous chair!
do you go vintage shopping every weekend?
I was wondering if anyone was going to mention Johnathan Alder. His pillows are actually inspired by Peruvian pillows - he discovered them on a trip to South America. I think he even has Peruvians make his pillows?
I try to go vintage shopping every other weekend or so. You never know what you will find. Many of my Vintage Find Sundays are items I've been collecting, and then putting them together to make a nifty photograph. I hope to settle into a cool apartment or house soon where I can really work some magic. Right now I'm sort of in a transitional apartment with all carpet...blah. Looking for some hardwood baby!
I absolutely love the vintage suitcase! Super stylish.
Too fun! Loved this post. -Julia
what a gorgeous post. just gorgeous.
you've inspired me!
Those chairs are awesome! Hands-down your vintage finds are the best! I keep your blog in mind everytime I stroll through an antique store. Love those pillows too. What better thing to collect than textiles from around the world.
What a perfect setting, Diana!

I love those chairs! Cool pillows, too. I would love to travel out of the country one day.
You put these together wonderfully. I love the shoes in the pic; seeing ladies shoes on the floor is always comforting to me somehow.
Go for the hardwoods!
I adore those pillows...love the chairs too...but the pillows stole the show for me. lovely!
You have some great finds!
I go vintage/flea market/yard sale shopping a lot too---once you start, it's hard to stop; there are so many great things to be found!
Cheers to you. You've really got an amazing eye for putting things together. You're right...this is what you need to be doing!
