Can you believe these were made from items at the dollar store?! Particular Aesthetic posted a student's work from Michael Salter's "Dollar Store Hack" class at University of Oregon. The class investigates design and pushes creative limits by hacking existing dollar store items into personal and home goods.
Some of the items include wall sconce from plastic container, ruler placemats, chandelier from plastic service ware, and my favorite - wall holders made from ice cream scoops. I LOVE this class - where do I sign up?!

That is GENIUS. So inspiring, especially given the less-than-stellar economy at the moment. You can have a fabulous home without spending your life savings! Great great find.
That is way way creative. And cheap. Great link.
