CenterFest Feature: Rosy Revolver

On Saturday I attended the CenterFest Arts Festival in Durham, N.C. and met up with jewelry designer JJ Papke of Rosy Revolver. Wow...I was completely blown away by her beautiful new collections! The Revival Collection has an edgy appeal with vintage hardware and bakelite pieces. Whereas The Blythe Collection is more romantic with seamless designs and whimsical colors. My favorite is the first piece constructed of detailed vintage keyholes. I also love the dramatic and colorful necklace made from hand dyed silk cocoons - amazing right? Each piece was tempting, but I decided to purchase the lovely set of earrings shown in the last image. I couldn't resist the colors!

JJ Papke is not only a talented designer, but also a good friend and sincerely nice gal. Each thoughtfully produced piece is made with purpose and quality. Plus, her presentation and packaging is flawless. JJ Papke displays her work among vintage jewelry boxes, which she says brings back memories of playing in her grandmother's jewelry box. Her pieces also come packaged in a hand-printed window holder and box. Isn't the wrapping and packaging always the best part of buying handmade items?!

To discover more amazing items or purchase these pieces please visit Rosy Revolver or email JJ Papke at rozaphine@gmail.com. Rosy Revolver will be expanding into etsy and new store locations so I'll be sure to keep you updated. Rosy Revolver is truly inspiring and exciting - she is one to watch in the jewelry scene!

I just came across your blog, and I also just happened to come across Rosy Revolver's jewelry earlier this month, her designs are amazing! I didn't know she was at Center fest, I was a vendor there myself, had I know she was there I would have visited her booth, but I was there by myself and didn't get to leave much other than potty breaks. I will be checking your blog out more often, it's cute!
