I am flipping out over these amazing high speed photographs by Lee Mawdsley. Each moment is so precise that I keep wondering about the aftermath of chaos. What happens after the paper hits the chair or the tea splashes on the table? How does the soft pillow sound when it hits the floor?
These photos also make me think about the passing of time. Single moments making up a whole lifetime. How amazing to capture these simplistic moments of time...

amazing photos! thanks for sharing... i linked them on my blog too!
These are amazing. I can't get enough. The coffee shot is mesmerizing!
I love everything about these!!
you are so right - the tea is my favorite.
The cup is sooo cool!
sorry to post again, but i'm wondering how they got that cup to explode so perfectly?
I love that photo of the pillow suspended in the air. I love the cushiness of it, the off-white on white background, and the anticipation of its bounce when it finally hits the ground!
thinking about the prelude to chaos is interesting too - and that's exactly what's captured in these photos.
these images are great, I love the exploding mug. Your weekend pics are great too, looks like you had a good time!
: )
these photos are so cool! it's interesting that you'd expect there to be a rough, violent feeling between these objects that are colliding, but the photos still have a kind of soft quality to me. maybe it's the relatively neutral color palette?
I have no idea how they got it to explode in such a perfect manner - maybe there were lots of photos! I agree - the neutral colors seem to bring softness to these photos - great insight!
these are so cool! hope you continue to feel better...xo.
These are GREAT! Can I have this done to my life every once in awhile?
The pillow, the pillow, the pillow! Amazing!
i love them all!
I agree with Cindy, my favorite's the tea one! WOW~
Amazing! Capturing moments that are here and gone in a split second fascinate me!
Love the photos in your previous post, growing up military we watched the planes every year!
Oh I looooovve this. ;)
Such great photos!!! wow.
Oh how fabulous. I need to book the studio soon!
That first photo is very clever:)
Adore ém!!!
Anticipating the bounces sounds, interested my thoughts. Hmmm...wonder how he do these to catch the perfect pix.
TY lots for dropping by.
Enjoy ur day ahead!

Wow! These are super cool!
For some reason, that chair picture is cracking me up. I don't know why. Anyways, very cool indeed.
I spilled a glass of water all over the oriental rug in my living room yesterday, so I can tell you what happens the moment after these photos. Lots of cursing and frantic cleanup. ;)
(These are incredible. The teacup is my favorite.)
wow, those photos are just so neat.......he must have a fancy dancy camera to take those sort of photos?

WOW! these are incredible! i like the tea shot - especially because you can see a face ever so faintly on the left.
i love the pillow. Maybe it's because it looks so comfy and I'm so sleepy?

I LOVE YOUR BLOG, SO BEAUTIFUL! YOU'RE ON MY LIST :)))
Prince Phillip's expression on the mug is priceless.
AWESOME!!
Wow, I feel like it's been ages since I've been by!! Don't think I haven't had you on my mind :) At least a couple times!!

wow..to capture the moment!
so beyond cool. must run to that site...
it's rather paradoxical. the chosen sujects are by no means 'powerful' but how they were shot is incredibly explosive (exploding tea cup included!)
not the imagery but the concept is very very cool indeed.
Ohhhh! Very cool.
All of these are so strong on their own merit, yet so different. Very cool!
Amazing shots, esp the coffee. Very Cool.

Mmmm...magic images. Love the first one the best. However, that soft pillow is looking very appealing to me right now!
wow. and like you, my first thought was what happens next.
OMG - I've had such a busy work week already...I'm just now catching up. That'll teach me...these are AMAZING {and I could have used them yesterday as inspiration}. GREAT FIND!!!!
Fantastic!
I LOVE these...especially the tea shot. OMG!
