Warm Weather Dreams

As pretty as snow and winter can be I must admit I hate cold weather. Getting dark early, wearing layers of jackets, feeling the need to hibernate...not things I look forward to each wintry season. Luckily this Thanksgiving we are heading down to Daytona Beach, Florida to visit my grandparents. Ahhh...warmness. In my search for heat I stumbled upon the Summer 2009 collection from Hussy via Ma Frangine. I know you are still wearing woollies and drinking hot chocolate, but isn't it nice to know we have a fashionable summer to look forward to?

How do you beat the winter blues?

We head to our cozy cabin and enjoy the snow on the trees. But that really isn't beating the winter blues, but it is enjoying the surroundings in a peaceful environment. Have fun in Daytona.

Well, in comparison it will be warm. However, we have been truly enjoying the "cold" weather that has arrived in Florida. Better bring a few layers. Have a great time and a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh, have fun in Florida!

I like winter in Chicagoland from about Thanksgiving-New Years Day and then it becomes a bit of a drag. To beat the winter blues, I try to be social, work on some art projects (or pushed aside organizing projects) and take a winter hike.

I have been avoiding posting anything about resort or spring collections (as amazing as they are) because we are just starting to get into the swing of fall in southern california.... i thought the year-round warm weather would be fun until it was mostly in the 90's everyday from May until now! I am craving the cold weather!

I am totally there with you! Even though it has barely gone under 60 in Austin, I still hate it.

Some like it hot!

The weather is warm enough here to wear these resort looks - under your veil of course!

ooooh. i love these. just add a pair of tights, and they are winter-worthy, too.

hmmmm . . . let's see. i beat winter blues by drinking my homemade hot chocolate with butterscotch schnapps in it.

Oh my goodness, I love the last outfit. The lines are so attractive! How to beat the winter blues? Hit the powder!
I want to : bury myself in my down comforter, watch tv, be surrouned by gossip and style magazines and kettle corn with copious amount of hot tea.

yes it is good to know that sunny things are coming...i think i generally get through winter blues by hibernating, but this year am trying to do it differently, trying to go for walks more, drinks loads of teas, get my friends together for cozy dinners & games...& planning my summer trip already!

We are still waiting for Fall... I think we might be getting it this week... clouds have rolled in and we are "supposed to" get rain... my fingers are crossed... I want a fire in my family room fireplace on Thanksgiving while watching football games.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
ENJOY your warm holiday!

ugh. I hate the cold, short, and dark days of winter too. I usually just grit my teeth and wait for the thaw!
