Oh yeah the vintage finds don't stop...if you thought these were good...then you'll love these items! A visit to Father & Sons Antiques isn't complete without all the quirky, weird and downright fun finds. Modern lamps are always great especially when paired with a black and white photo or mannequin head. And how about a fun horsey ride? Or a bucket filled with army men or name patches? I also loved (and was amused) by a selection of Indian charts filled with home cooking and science lessons. I'd say a pretty good start to the new year and week.
How is your start going?!

I'm loving the name tag patches! These are great finds :)
I love all of these. I'm sure there's something creative I could do with those name tags.
I love those name patches. "Grover"? For real?
I have started the new year very slow and quietly... Planning a few beach days, knitting and lounging on the pool for the next couple of weeks. The last couple of months have been so hectic, that I will just go on "summerholidays" for a bit :)

Loving the name tags!! ahh if name tags could speak..guess we'd be having some fun stories:P

Lamps and mannequins are my favorite! Your post made me realize I haven't done enough thrifting this new year... time to get busy!
I like the glass container filled with the name tags.
Over my container weekend I found an vintage sewing basket (post a pic today). I like mixing a little of past and today stuff. Thanks.
That bowl of names makes me itch with longing. Oh, the shirts I'd emblazon ...

You find the coolest stuff, Diana. Those lamps would be perfect in my living room!!
I love the lamps, and the horse made me so nostalgic for my childhood- we used to have one just like that (and I have no idea what happened to it- I'm sure it probably was sold in a yard sale or donated to goodwill somewhere along the way! Sad!) Oh, and your photos are beautiful.
What a fantastic treasure trove!! I love the lamps you picked out, and I could truly spend days in this shop. What a great way to start 2009! :)
I'm loving those lamps! I wish I had more space for table lamps.

I don't know if you've done this already - but I would love a beginner's guide on how to shop vintage.

That horse is ghostly. All I can imagine is it moving by itself. Eeeeep!
My start to the year has been good! Science, Muntedkowhai and life in general is at peace.

my first week is going great - i've taken it off as post-christmas vacation! what a fantastic way to start the year off. {i'm hoping it'll be an indication of the way the year will go?}

Love those lamps in the first pic. Just wanted to wish you a most happy 2009. I hope you have a ton of wonderful moments. I myself am just emerging from my self-imposed cocooning. I was so nice to just drop-out for a bit.
