Adelaide Road

You know my weakness for lovely interiors with quaint names like Lavender Hill and Limetree Cottage? Well, Adelaide Road tops the list with plenty of cozy fireplaces, delightful nooks and a sweet name of course. The south London property has it all - white floors, a second living room with black stained floors, a kitchen that opens to a garden and a charming attic artist's studio. An artist's studio...a charming one at that! Hello, heaven...yes...I didn't realize you were located in south London...good to know.

Love these shots - it's the books and framed pictures filling the space that make them special to me.

Soooooo dreamy!!! I'm there with you!
Can I transport this kitchen and the fireplace that's under the stairs or the eave, and put them into the Limetree Cottage??? Best of both worlds!!

I have a weakness for cute house names too. And that attic studio is just perfection.

That's it, this isn't fair. why do only cool british houses and seaside cottages get nifty names? I propose that we all name our houses, whether we're living in a grand mansion or a crummy carpeted rental (can you sense my wall-to-wall-carpet rage?).

Henceforth when asked where I live, I am going to reply 'Pemberton Hollows'.

My eyes went right to the garden... ah I can live vicariously through your posts..

I agree with Anne...we should all name our houses. It gives them a sense of personality and importance. Love the floors, love the garden kitchen, and the studio....perfect.

But. But. What is Gallus? Should I know? They look like typeset drawers. But the name. I don't get it.
