Frank Gonzales, an American contemporary artist, creates amazing paintings that explore classical subjects, organic forms and geometrical shapes. I'm especially drawn to his bird paintings with vibrant colors and a sense of movement and flight.
Gonzales says, "I like to construct and deconstruct during the process leaving traces of my journey in the end results. Like life itself, there are elements of uncertainty, dialogue and changes that take place which can be both fascinating and frustrating to me."
As artists and designers we can probably all relate to his statement within our own work. Truly inspiring!

gorgeous. to have on of these in your home would be spring every day! i'll have to check him out. i'm drawn to that first one with the robin's egg blue background. i love that color, so clean and crisp.
That was my fav too - yes, it would be like spring each day!
absolutely gorgeous. wow. i think my fave is the second one--i love the calligraphic flourishes (surprise!).
Fantastic. The first is my favorite - that blue background makes the bird seem super friendly somehow.
I love the 3rd one. I am going to be a loner on this I guess.
Love them all really. Birdies make me happy.
these paintings are amazing! i especially love the little squares around the birds!

This stopped me in my tracks. So beautiful! What an interesting use of shape and texture. I could stare at these all day...
The first painting is absolutely stunning. Love it. And want it.
I really like these. The different textures. And it feels like bits of the painting are flying off, like the birds should be too.
I love them all, but my second one is my favorite!
The birds are beautiful! I hope you are feeling back to yourself. xoxo
I very much like the notion of leaving traces...
Love those birds!
Wow that's Gorgeous! His work is so vibrent.
Sometimes it is very hard to articulate something you do, but he has really captured it in his words and art.
oh those birds are just gorgeous, I love all of them!

These are so gorgeous! I like the last one in particular, it looks like the bird is about to break out into an amazing cubist/pointillist hybrid. Love!
