Glass Curiosities

Steffen Dam creates luminous glass blocks and panels filled with imaginary plants and sea creatures that are suspended like fossils and scientific specimens. I am awe struck by his impressive glasswork which stimulates the imagination and borders on surreal. I'm still trying to put myself together after finding his exciting work...one word comes to mind...a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Plus, you know my love for natural curiosities. Hands down...Steffen Dam is extremely talented and a true craftsman of glass.

On a side note, I hope you all had a nice and long weekend. The beach was wonderful and I'm sad to be back to busy work mode. I keep wondering when it will end so I can get back to blogging!

  22. I don't know what these pieces are about, they look both botanical and artistic. But I love them. They remind me of specimen jars from a lab. Everyone could use a little more "lab" around the house.
