Redefining Street Art

I don't mind that Aakash Nihalani's fresh take on public art has been blogged about before because I too want to share in the joy. Nihalani uses brightly-colored sticker tape to highlight the “unexpected contours” and “elegant geometry” of New York City. I'm overjoyed by these playful, colorful and engaging works especially since I've taken a recent interest in tape as a medium for art. More on that later, but for now...enjoy more street art and your weekend!

Very interesting.... I think I'd prefer elegant geometry to vandalizing...

The last photo is such a great concept shot. The two shapes leaning toward each other, as does the couple in the foreground. I love it.
