Clever Interior Ideas

I was impressed with the ideas below because they are simple and clever ways of decorating with new and ordinary items.

In a recent post, PoppyTalk interviewed Abigail Hendrickson of How Now Design. In their discussion of collecting, Abigail mentioned her collection of clipboards used to display her large amount of etsy prints. I LOVE it - so easy and versatile - this idea can be used for displaying photographs and inspirational clippings. I like how she has them on a shelf, but I could also see them grouped together and hung on the wall. Thanks Abigail!

This idea might be a little harder to pull off, but it makes an interesting look. The rug room was designed for the reception area in the ROC professional training school in the Netherlands. Designers Janneke Hooymans and Frank Tjepkema from Tjep came up with an innovative non-traditional reception design space, including this protective shelter of rugs. I could see this idea being used in a loft area that needed to divide up space, or maybe it could be used on a single wall in a bedroom. (via Trendhunter)
