Art in the Details

After posting about Lissa Rivera, fellow blogger Paul Pincus introduced me to similar work by Tim Davis. I was immediately taken in by the photographs comprised of varying subjects and intimate details. These are objects and moments easily passed by, but in the eye of Tim Davis they become an artful story. Great recommendation Paul!

Thank you for your dentist support. I'm pleased with the teeth results, and not in too much pain. Your good vibes helped! I get permanent veneers put on in 3 weeks, so I'll try to post a before and after picture then. Little more pain, but I think the results will be worth it. I'm just ready for the weekend!

I love those that see beyond the common things. It really does tickle me greatly. This was great.

Glad about your teeth. I can't wait for the pictures of the before and after. That will tickle me greatly too.

So glad you are pleased with the dental work. I thought about you this morning while I was brushing my teeth... (that's weird - and kind of stalker-ish- but yeah...)

Glad went well and that you are not in too much pain. (That's always a good thing!)

These images are thought provoking. Another look at how the simple and everyday, can truly be seen as art.

oh yay! i'm glad there was minimal pain. i don't think i'd be able to handle more than that. i usually almost faint when i get my blood drawn. i'm that sensitive.

for some reason, the white on white of the electrical socket photo is what stood out most. it's actually kinda cute...like it's peeking :P

and yes, paul pincus blog is pretty darn awesome for art and photography. it's like a mini art gallery.

I totally love this kind of artwork. I've seen great Polaroid series of “every day objects” and I love what the “insta-film” adds, too.

I’m happy to hear the dentist went well and that you’ll be flaunting a big, ol’ happy smile this weekend!

I think there is so much lovliness in the mundane. By focusing in on just one piece of something, or just something on it's own, you can really look at it in an almost artistic way.

P.S. Glad to hear all went well with the dentist! :)

Wow, I would never ever think of any of these things as art in my everyday life - more like little annoyances. It's really quite beautiful to look at them in a different context. Thank you for posting.
