Organic Chaos

Ikuko Iwamoto creates exquisite cups and other objects that make "visible an invisible, microscopic world." In her work she illustrates " a world of intricacy and detail, of mathematical pattern and organic chaos, of beauty and repulsion."

Iwamoto's organic and evocative pieces wake up my tactile senses. I would love to touch them in person and see how the exposed bumps and spikes feel against my hands. Makes we want to reach out and touch them through the computer!

Check out more of Iwamoto's work and blog to get updates on her creative process.

Interesting organic chaos. Not my favorite, but interesting to look at. It conjures up some interesting memories that I would rather just not think about :)

You hit the nail on the head when you said that you wanted to touch them in person. I felt the same way before I scrolled down to read about them.

I really like the vases in the top image. They would look great in a beach house setting.

The cups at the bottom looks so delicate! I bet they would feel so neat, all moving and spotted!
