Vintage Picnic

Isn't this fun? Ok, so it's not really vintage...but if you can't find the real thing I would settle with this one. The weather here is chilly, but still picnic-worthy. Hmm...now what to serve?

On a side note, Saturday is not looking like picnic weather...rain, rain, and more rain. And do you know what that means? My Mom and I are pushing the yard sale into November...uhh...I just want to get it over with! At least this will give us more time to look through our items and maybe put some on etsy...yes, that's right...etsy! It's still in the early stages, but I'll be sure to keep you updated. Are you looking for a particular vintage item or goods? I'll keep an eye out in our storage stash.

My favorite part about the picnic carrier is the metal. I love that. Good luck with the whole sale thing. Maybe the rainy days will make you sort out even more stuff to sale.

Love it! And I'm *always* looking out for vintage goods, just not particular. ;-) Egg baskets (or similar vintagey metal ones) for sure. Obsession du jour.

Just in case anyone is interested in an actual vintage picnic basket, I recently found one in near perfect condition and put it in my Etsy shop!

I saw something very similar to this picnic set at a little shop in Palo Alto, and thought it would make a cute wedding gift. I love it!

Sorry I missed your other post = (

It is not vintage but RED and teal...lovely, and a picnic is a bit of nostalgia for me.. I considering picnicking vintage.. I wonder when the trend first started.

In japan we use something similar.. bento boxes but I would love to fusion it up a bit = )

Oh how wonderful! And what a great Christmas gift it would make--- a homemade compilation of a picnic set. Vintage, mismatched dishware and bright table linens all swooped up in a cute little bassinet carrier! I'd love it!

Nothing beats a good old fashioned picnic with all the vintage inspired trimmings! Good looking find! best wishes on a very successful sale, and an unseasonably warm and sunny day on which to have it!

It is hard to express my love for this picnic basket. It would absolutely make a great Christmas gift. The color along with hot chocolate and peppermints and roasted red pepper sandwiches would really tell a great story.
