Isn't this fun? Ok, so it's not really vintage...but if you can't find the real thing I would settle with this one. The weather here is chilly, but still picnic-worthy. Hmm...now what to serve?
On a side note, Saturday is not looking like picnic weather...rain, rain, and more rain. And do you know what that means? My Mom and I are pushing the yard sale into November...uhh...I just want to get it over with! At least this will give us more time to look through our items and maybe put some on etsy...yes, that's right...etsy! It's still in the early stages, but I'll be sure to keep you updated. Are you looking for a particular vintage item or goods? I'll keep an eye out in our storage stash.

Ooh - I love it! This is definitely going on my wishlist.
LOVE it! Nice reminder that I've been wanting to put together a picnic for me and the hubby. :)
My favorite part about the picnic carrier is the metal. I love that. Good luck with the whole sale thing. Maybe the rainy days will make you sort out even more stuff to sale.
omg soo cute!!!!
Love it! And I'm *always* looking out for vintage goods, just not particular. ;-) Egg baskets (or similar vintagey metal ones) for sure. Obsession du jour.
My husband is a picnicking fiend. Perhaps this will go on his Hanukkah list ...
Our rain is coming tomorrow night and expected to hang around the next three days so I hear you! Love this and when I followed your link, did you see the Sunshine Blanket Tote? Now that was pretty cool too! :)
I LOVE THIS! Great gift idea too.
This is so cute! Love the red.
Just in case anyone is interested in an actual vintage picnic basket, I recently found one in near perfect condition and put it in my Etsy shop!
There is a link to it here: theluckystoneblog.com
love everything about it! But i love the idea of your etsy shop even more!!
I do love that blanket - oh and Jessie's picnic basket if very cool!
I do love that blanket - oh and Jessie's picnic basket if very cool!
I love, love, L.O.V.E. this picnic basket. Perfect colors, too!
You always manage to strum the romantic song strings of my creative heart :)
I saw something very similar to this picnic set at a little shop in Palo Alto, and thought it would make a cute wedding gift. I love it!
Very sweet. Love the colour combo! A-M xx
this is so sweet...I want it...goodness I really need to get this shopping under control...xxoo
this is beyond cute!!! what a gorgeous find!
Sorry I missed your other post = (
It is not vintage but RED and teal...lovely, and a picnic is a bit of nostalgia for me.. I considering picnicking vintage.. I wonder when the trend first started.
In japan we use something similar.. bento boxes but I would love to fusion it up a bit = )
Oh how wonderful! And what a great Christmas gift it would make--- a homemade compilation of a picnic set. Vintage, mismatched dishware and bright table linens all swooped up in a cute little bassinet carrier! I'd love it!
i'm looking for vintage games (especially Scrabble).
i'll post about why in the near future.
i'm also always looking for vintage serving-ware—especially deco pieces!
great picnic tin!
this picnic basket is so inspiring! Thank you!!! just what I need to cheer up my spirits on a cold day! Best of luck with your yard sale!!
Etsy? Did I hear Etsy?
My heart is aflutter!
oh dreamy - I love picnic sets and plaid blankets too :)
Nothing beats a good old fashioned picnic with all the vintage inspired trimmings! Good looking find! best wishes on a very successful sale, and an unseasonably warm and sunny day on which to have it!
too cute!! love the baby blue & red together...good luck with the sale! with your good eye i'm sure many will flock to buy...
Love it! We won't be picnicing for many, many months to come...
The indolent memories that picnics remind one of :)
I'm panicking now. I'm invited to girls only picnic this Saturday and I haven't got a clue what to cook!!
The pale blue and the red are so cute together. That's an adorable picnic set!
oh, yes! i am looking for something.
a doctor's bag. tobacco colored. i know you'll find one. heck, you might even be looking at one right now.
send.
Oh boy, this is wonderful news! Can't wait to check it out!
It is hard to express my love for this picnic basket. It would absolutely make a great Christmas gift. The color along with hot chocolate and peppermints and roasted red pepper sandwiches would really tell a great story.
Do it! Get that etsy shop up and going. You have a great eye for vintage and I am sure it will fabulous!
We're planning a yard sale, too... not looking forward to it, but I am excited about the cash!
i'd love to see what you've got for etsy. :-D
I want this, too bad it's too rainy for a picnic...I'd save it for the perfect day.
you are incredible, you and your awesome eye! LOVE this red and light aqua blue combo...hmmm, a picnic...sounds marvelous.
This is perfect.....we're tired of cute baskets for your picnic - we'd be proud to come into a family reunion with this one!!
